A Message to Our Customers thismatters

We are already three weeks into the new year—we hope you started 2024 healthy and happy.

I would like to take this opportunity to give you a personal overview of this year from our perspective. It means a lot to us that we can support you in all the "things that matter," which is why we are happy to keep you regularly updated on our latest plans.

That's why we've summarized all the updates here – and if you have any questions or feedback, you know we're always here for you.

people:matters

Six months ago, we got off to a flying start as a trio with this:matters. And since then, we have been growing as an agency. Of course, we always listen to you and our other customers to find out what you want, and we want to respond to your needs even better.

One of our biggest wishes has always been to offer a comprehensive web service, which is why we are delighted to welcome Olena as our sixth employee. With Olena on board, we can now offer a complete website or online shop package: from planning and design to development and content creation.

performance:matters

High-performance hosting has always been one of the cornerstones of this:matters: You know how important a fast website is to us. And there's always room for improvement: In the coming weeks, we will be upgrading our entire hosting infrastructure, improving performance by around 20%.

In the PHP Bench Test, our new Managed WordPress Hosting infrastructure can save more than 50% of the time it takes to perform operations.
WP Bench measures the number of WP requests per second, with a higher number tending to be better.

For you, this means that your website will load even faster—and will also be able to process even more customer inquiries at once. This is made possible by improvements on both the software and hardware sides.

If you would like more technical details, please feel free to contact me—we will be in touch with you about the upgrade anyway.

security:matters

It's not a welcome trend: the proportion of "bad" traffic is rising steadily. Currently, it is mainly attackers from Russia and the Philippines who are attempting to gain access to websites through security vulnerabilities. Then the AI boom has created bots that scour the web nonstop in search of content. And spam messages via website forms remain a major issue.

With us, you don't have to worry about the security of your website. However, this type of malicious traffic means that valuable website resources are being used up—resources that would be better spent on real visitors and potential customers.

As a solution to this problem, we have been offering our"Cloudflare Enterprise" integrationfor some time now, which not only improves performance but also excels at blocking bots and bad traffic. This is because traffic to your site is already filtered by Cloudflare before it even reaches your server. In the near future, we will be expanding our Cloudflare Enterprise offering and will be able to offer more protection against spam for all hosting customers without Cloudflare Enterprise – stay tuned.

happiness:matters

And why are we doing all this, why all the upgrades? Quite simply: to offer you better service and support you even better.

Thank you very much.
Kevin
